ABOUT GIVE LOCAL MOV

Give Local MOV is a 24-hour online giving event that connects community members with nonprofit organizations serving the Mid-Ohio Valley. Led by the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation, this annual giving day builds awareness, encourages philanthropy, and generates critical support for local programs and causes.

In its most recent year, Give Local MOV raised more than $530,000 for 67 local nonprofits—demonstrating the collective impact that is possible when our community comes together.

The 2026 Give Local MOV giving day will take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Corporate and community sponsors play a vital role in the success of Give Local MOV by providing matching funds, incentive prizes, and challenge opportunities that motivate giving and amplify impact.

SPECIAL SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

  • Matching Fund Sponsor:
    • Matching funds are a proven way to inspire generosity and increase overall giving. 
    • Ideal for: Businesses or organizations seeking broad, community-wide impact.
      • Sponsors contribute funds that are used to match donor gifts during Give Local MOV
      • Matches may be deployed throughout the day or during designated time periods
      • Matching funds increase participation and gift size while benefiting all participating nonprofits
  • Incentive Prize Sponsor:
    • Incentive prizes create excitement and encourage nonprofits to actively engage their supporters. 
    • Ideal for: Sponsors who want visible engagement and interactive participation throughout the giving day.
      • Sponsors fund prizes awarded to participating nonprofits
      • Prizes may be time-based, random drawings, or performance-based
      • Prize funds are awarded in addition to donations raised
  • Private Challenge Sponsor:
    • Private challenges allow sponsors to focus their support on specific organizations or areas of interest. 
    • This option provides immediate impact while also supporting long-term community sustainability.
      • Sponsors designate eligible nonprofits or a specific cause are met.
      • Funds are released when challenge criteria are met.
      • If challenge requirements are not met, funds are directed to the agency's endowment at the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation

Platinum Sponsor – $10,000+

Gold Sponsor – $5,000

Media & In-Kind Sponsorships

  • Media and in-kind sponsorships support Give Local MOV through advertising, promotional support, or donated goods and services. 
  • Recognition for media and in-kind sponsors will be customized based on contribution value.
  • Examples include:
